
3 Recommended places to see Golden Ginkgo Trees Tunnels in Tokyo
There are many places in Tokyo that grow ginkgo on both sides of the street. When the weather becomes colder the ginkgo green leaves will turn into beautiful bright golden trees tunnels like fine painting.
1. Meiji-Jingu-Gaien: around Meiji – Jingu Park
There are more than 146 ginkgo trees along both sides of the street, from Aoyama Street to Seitoku Memorial Art Museum. This year the Annual Gingko Trees Matsuri of this place will be held on November, Saturday 14 – December, Sunday 6, 2015.
The most convenience way to travel there is to take JR Yamanote Line to Harajuku Station, then take Tokyo Metro Ginza Line to Gaien–Mae or Aoyama-Icchome Station.

2. Showa Kinen Park
There are 106 ginkgo trees here that grow along both sides of the 200 metres walking in this park.
Showa Koen is on the west of Tokyo. You can travel there by JR Chou Line from JR Shinjuku Station which will take around 30 minutes to Tachikawa Station then walk further for about 10 minutes.
Park fee: 400 JPY

3 Ginkgo Avenue at Koshu Kaido
This avenue is in Hachioji Area. Every year in Autumn Hachioji Area will arrange the Hachioji Ichou Matsuri or Ginkgo Matsuri on November 21 – 22. Here there are 760 ginkgo trees along side of the street, which is more than 4 kilometres length.
You can take JR Chuo Line (taking Rapid Train is recommended as it is faster) from JR Shinjuku Station to Nichi–Hachioji Station.
